MCJ inspire CT students to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

MCJ holds session with CT Students and encourage them to download and use Swachhata MoHUA app

Jalandhar, January 30, 2018: Supporting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar (MCJ) held a seminar on the importance of keeping the surroundings clean at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur. The key speakers for the occasion were Dr.Shri Kishan Sharma, Health Officer and Ms.Monika Sekhri, Sanitary Inspector.

During the seminar, the team of MCJ encouraged students to promote the cleanliness initiative of Government of India and motivated them to download and use Swachhata MoHUA mobile app.

Telling about the same Dr. Shri Kishan said, “The Swachhata-MoHUA is the official app of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs(MoHUA), GOI. The app enables a citizen to post a civic-related issue (eg; a garbage dump) which is then forwarded to the city corporation concerned and thereafter assigned to the sanitary inspector of the particular ward. Later, the team visits the spot of the picture and cleans the area as well. The more number of users will result in making city more beautiful.”

Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group thanked MCJ for taking this initiative in encouraging the youth of city in promoting the Swachhata program.
