Max Design Awards 2017-18 Finale

~ A Fashionable Extravaganza of Young Talent and Creative Designs ~

The future of fashion took centre stage at the Grand Finale of the Max Design Awards 2017-18, presented by India's largest value fashion brand Max Fashion. Held at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, the star-studded finale was a fitting end to the two month long hunt for the country’s finest fashion design talent.

Following last 3 year’s extravagant event, the 4th year of Max Design Awards Grand finale was a bigger and glamorous spectacle. The finale show was judged by an esteemed panel of jury including Fashion Designers Ms.Rina Dhaka, Mr.Ashish Soni and Mr.Rahul Mishra along with Mr.Vasanth Kumar- Executive Director, Max Fashion, Ms.Kamakshi Kaul - Vice President Design, Max Fashion and Mr.Marc Robinson - Project Head, Max Design Awards.

Max Design Awards is a prestigious platform to recognize and reward budding fashion design students. Max partnered with India’s leading fashion design institutes and colleges this year to discover the country’s foremost fashion design aspirants. Out of 1200 entries, 15 students were shortlisted for the grand finale where they showcased their designs.

These finalists were given a month’s timeframe to create garments as per their sketches for the grand finale. Each finalist presented two looks under the theme ‘Craftivism’ (Pret and Couture) to an audience that included the jury and invited influencers of the fashion media.

The winners selected at the end of the evening are –

Top 3 Winners –PayalPopli (Pearl Academy Delhi), Robin Roy (NIFT Patna), TulikaRanjan (NIFT Delhi).

Best Ramp Appeal –RajulGoldar (Pearl Academy Delhi)

Most Popular Design –AshneetKohli (NIFT Delhi)

Top 3 Winner receive a cash prize sum of Rs 50,000/- each and the opportunity for a Fashion Photoshoot which will be featured in the leading fashion magazine Grazia India.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vasanth Kumar, Executive Director, Max Fashion said, “Max Fashion’s aim has always been to democratize Fashion for all. Youngsters today have extraordinary ideas and we are more than happy to give them such a wide platform to showcase their talent.
