Dharamshala, December 4, 2019: Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth arrived today morning in Dharamshala on a day long private visit.
He was accompanied with wife Kobita Ramdanee.
Both visited Mata Bagulamukhi Temple in Kangra district before flying back to Delhi.
On behalf of the administration, he was welcomed by DC Kangra Rakesh Prajapati and SP Vimukt Ranjan at the Gaggal airport of Dhsaramshala on their arrival.
After landing, the couple reached the temple of Maa Bagalamukhi in Banakhandi, and performed Havan puja there.
Mauritius PM paid obeisance at Baglamukhi Temple near Dehra and was also scheduled to visit Mahakal Temple in Baijnath but returned from Baglamukhi itself.
At Baglamukhi, Jugnauth was received by Temple Trust chairman Mahant Rajat Giri. Giri said that Jugnauth’s wife had come to the temple in September and vowed to visit again if her husband is elected PM. “The couple performed three ‘yagnas’ mainly for victory over enemies and protection of the country,” said Giri.
Located at a distance of around 42 km from Dharamshala, the Baglamukhi temple is believed to be from the Mahabharata era and have mystical powers, which is why it’s famous among politicians, celebrities and players. The puja is believed to provide immediate relief to problems and victory over enemies. Famous politicians who visited the temple in the past include former President Pranab Mukherjee, former PM Indira Gandhi Congress leader Maninderjit Singh Bitta, former Samajwadi Party leaders Amar Singh and Jaya Prada and Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh.
Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, the Prime Minister of Mauritius since 2017, has arrived in India on a private visit, a month after winning a hard-fought general election. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, who has visited India twice before in 2019, is expected to discuss economy and maritime security with PM Narendra Modi.
Kangra SP Vimukt Ranjan said, “We have been told that the PM will first visit Mahakal temple in Baijnath and Baglamukhi temple.. He will return the same day by an evening flight. But the couple only visited Bagulamukhi Temple.”
