MASS MARRIAGES: 11 marriages take place

Ferozepur, November 6, 2012:  Maharishi Valmik Mandir Samaj Sudhar Committee, committed to solemnise the marriages of poor girls, today arranged the mass marriage of 11 poor girls.

Behan Asha, president of the society said, “With the assistance of other social welfare societies, mass marriage of 11 poor girls from different communities was solemnised with complete rituality. 

Neeru Sharma, Chairperson, Army Welfare Society wife of Major General R. K. Sharma 7 Arti Div participate in the marriage ceremony and some clothes and other useable articles were given with the help of Poonam Kochhar, secretary.

On this occasion, Mohinder Singh, President, Punjab Valmiki Sabha, President, Punjab Christian Valmiki Society blessed the newly married couples.

To make this auspicious function a grant success, a special assistance was extended by Varinder Pal Singh, SSP Ferozepur and former MLA Ravinder Singh Sandhu (Babbal) besides the special presence of Yoginder Verma, Naveen Gupta, Manmohan Gupta, Vishnu Garg, Ashok Sharma of Lions Club and others were present.
