“I have been typecast in bold roles to an extent when I started saying no to them”, said Mahie Gill in a chat with TV host and Actor Karan Singh Chhabra.
She added, “Whenever there was a role of a prostitute or a drunkard woman, I was getting approached but we as actors can change it by choosing the right scripts and trying to bring variation in our performance.”
On working with the actress Karan said, “Not Many know that she was in the judging panel of the 1st ever fashion week in Punjab in 2010 for which I auditioned to be the pool model. Out of the 5 five judges she was the one who fought for me and convinced the Jury to select me for my confidence and walk irrespective of me not being as tall as a ramp model should be.”
The film titled Family of Thakurganj starring Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill will release on 19th July 2019.
