Magnificent fresher’s welcome party ‘Masquerade 2019’ held at SCD Government College

Ludhiana, September 27, 2019: Department of MBI SCD Government College, Ludhiana organised magnificent fresher's welcome party ‘Masquerade 2019’ for M.Com Business Innovations-I Semester students, Batch(2019-2021) on Friday in the college campus. The programme commenced with the Candle lighting ceremony and students welcomed Principal Dr.Dharam Singh Sandhu and HoD Dr.Ashwani Bhalla by gifting them saplings and books, Prof Suman Lata, Prof.B.K.Khurana Prof.H.L.Basra, Prof.Harblas Heera and other faculty members were also felicitated with saplings as a gesture towards environment protection. The gala started with a melodious medley performed by Gursimran Singh and a dramatically funny skit prepared by second year students. Event further entered into joyous state with various Punjabi and Hindi dance performances based on the theme followed by fashion show for judging Mr and Miss Fresher with various other tags. The following students won the title: Mr.Fresher-Abhishek Gautam Miss.Fresher -Shivangi Miss Elegant-Tanvi Miss jovial-Nancy Gupta Mr entertainer-Aditya Jain Mr Dashing-Naman At the end, Principal Dr.Dharam Singh Sandhu extolled all the students for their wonderful performances and congratulated the students. He also encouraged the students to be lively and focused on whatever they do. The programme was concluded with vote of thanx by Dr. Reena Kansal. Really, the whole event was organised and coordinated by the students of senior batch.
