Lyallpur Khalsa College wins Athletics Championship of Guru Nanak Dev University

Jalandhar, November 7, 2016: North India’s premier Educational institute, Lyallpur Khalsa College has continued its rich tradition of excelling not only in Academics but also in the field of Sports. The latest example of this came forth when Lyallpur Khalsa College won the Athletics Championship of Guru Nanak Dev University by bagging 56 points. It is also worth mentioning that the college has won this championship 10 times since its inception in the year 2004.
College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra congratulated the team coach Sarabjeet Happy, Team Incharge Prof. Tarsem Singh and players of the event squad.
Principal Dr. Samra also informed that it is a matter of pride for the college that its player Jagmeet Singh was chosen to represent the University team in further competitions which emphasizes the importance of Sports along with academics.
On this momentous occasion for the college, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council congratulated Principal Dr. G.S. Samra, Dr. Jaspal Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education and the entire staff associated with the activity that has brought laurels for the institution.
