Jalandhar, February 1, 2016: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar was awarded special appreciation award of Rs 50,000 for participation in National Competition on Strengthening water and Sanitation in Urban settings held on 28 January 2016 New Delhi. It was Interuniversity Competition on Water Resource Management organized by TERI University New Delhi College students Onkar Singh, Deepak, Vijay, Priya, Megha designed a modified protocol for paddy crop production in Punjab to arrest the Problem of decline in water table under the guidance of Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Department of Environmental Sciences Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. College students were awarded second position in YUVA meet 2016 on Developing Skills and social entrepreneurship for a sustainable future. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council and Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra congratulated the students for their excellent performance. Prof. J.S. Rana College Registrar, Prof. Manohar Singh HOD Computer Science and Prof. Vikram Singh were also present on this occasion.
