Ludhiana, November 24, 2018: Ludhiana's Keshav Thakur has become the best gymnast in the Punjab University Inter-College Gymnastics Competition, which was held in Chandigarh. A product of Ludhiana gymnastics coaching center of Guru Nanak stadium, Keshav got two gold and three silver medals in different categories.
His coach Prem Singh said that Keshav Thakur, who participated in this competition from Kamla Lohtia S. D. college, won gold medals in All-Round and Parallel Bars categories and silver medals in Pommel Horse, Roman Rings, and Table Vault categories. Similarly, Madhav Thakur of the same college also got a bronze medal in Pommel Horse.
It is pertinent to mention that Keshav Thakur was declared as the third best gymnast in the country in the 63rd National School Games that took place in Kolkata (West Bengal). Earlier in the state level sports, Keshav Thakur won the title of 'All-Round Best Gymnast of Punjab'.
