Ludhiana residents should join Fit India Movement: DC

Ludhiana, August 29, 2019: On the occasion of National Sports Day, Fit India Movement was launched in the country. The live telecast of this function was broadcast from Indira Gandhi Stadium Delhi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest. The live telecast of this function was also broadcast for the officers and employees of District Administrative Complex Ludhiana at Bachat Bhawan, here today.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal urged the residents of district Ludhiana to indulge in sports and outdoor activities to lead a healthy lifestyle. He urged the residents, mainly youth and children, to participate actively in sports as they keep both mind and body fit.
He said that to promote sports in our day to day life, all of us should join hands and play them with complete sportsman spirit. He urged the youth to remain away from the menace of drugs and bring good name to our district, state as well as our country.
On this occasion, SDM (West) Amrinder Singh Malhi, Assistant Commissioner (General) Dr Poonam Preet Kaur, and other senior officials and staff members were also present.
