Ludhiana Police Commissioner Issues Ban Orders

Ludhiana, March 28, 2016: Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana Mr Paramraj Singh Umra Nangal, under section 144 of CrPC (Act No 2 of 1974) has banned the assembly of five or more than five persons, carrying of weapons and inflammable material in all areas falling under the Police Commissionerate Ludhiana. Mr Umra Nangal said that several organisations and political parties often hold dharnas and sometimes it leads to law and order problem. These orders have been issued in this view and for a period of two months. Similarly, the Commissioner of Police has also banned the sale of helmets without ISI mark in all areas falling under the Police Commissionerate Ludhiana. He said that at the time of accident, helmets without ISI mark get damaged and the vehicle driver dies or gets seriously injured.
