Ludhiana News/Vasan Eye Care Hospital celebrates diabetic week and children day

Ludhiana, November 14, 2013: Eye Care Seminar on the occasion of Children Day & World Diabetic Day was held at Vasan Eye Care Hospital here on Thursday.

The event was held in collaboration with PCTE Group of Institutions, Baddowal, Ludhiana.

Team of Doctors and Technical Staff examined the eyes of students and the members of the staff. Approximately, 50 students attended the seminar. Dr Azad Gurav Bansal, Chief Medical officer delivered a lecture on the topic Diabetic Eye & Refferective Error (Lasik) and General Eye Care apprising the students about the various techniques available to correct the errors in eye-sight

"Preventing vision loss from diabetic eye problems such as diabetic retinopathy is within reach for many patients if it is detected, diagnosed and treated early in its course," said Ophthalmologist Dr I. P. Singh MS (Eye) & Retina Specialist  Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Ludhiana.

As November has been designated as National Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month "The longer a person has diabetes, the greater his or her risk for developing diabetic retinopathy, the Eye Diabetes Awareness Week also aims to provide an update to General Public in the region regarding the latest advances in Diabetes Eye Care Vasan Eye Care Hospital Ludhiana organising Eye Diabetes Awareness Week from November 14-22, said Dr. Azad Gaurav Bansal (CMO). During this week Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Ludhiana offers free eye check-up camp for all senior citizens  along age group of 40 plus, students  and Diabetic patients,  during this campaign hospital provides in house education programme to all patients.

Today, more than 30 patients having diabetic Renal problems were examined.
