Ranjodh Singh, Patron of Sankara Eye Hospital, along with Sant Baba Malkit Singh, Dera Sant Baba Bhag Singh, Village Khiala – Jalandhar on Saturday visits Sankara Eye Hospital at Ludhiana alongwith a team of four people including their Directors.

Ludhiana, December 7, 2013: Ranjodh Singh, Patron of Sankara Eye Hospital, along with Sant Baba Malkit Singh, Dera Sant Baba Bhag Singh, Village Khiala – Jalandhar visited Sankara Eye Hospital alongwith a team of four people including their Directors.

The team visited the hospital for the first time, after an initial acquaintance they were taken for a round of the hospital and made to interact with 27 poor patients who had undergone a totally free cataract surgery on previous day.

The team was given the glimpse for one of the five operation theatres of the hospital. The team was highly impressed when they were briefed by CEO Brig. M.S Gujral (Retd.) that our patients are registered in the hospital for a mere Rs. 150 and the full consultation process is normally completed within 2 hours, no patient has to queue or stand in line anywhere, they sit in the OPD waiting area as guided by the hospital staff in the entire process.

The briefings were followed by an interactive session with the team highlighting the history of the organisation and general methodology of working of the charitable trust.

Ranjodh Singh also highlighted the various peculiarities of this eye care venture including the service to the society by conducting regular eye screening camps in remote villages. Besides the eye care the hospital also get involved in indicating the presence of High Blood Pressure and the Diabetes during the camps.

Baba Malkit Singh has expressed his optimism that this association would carried forward fruitfully for the benefit of both charitable organisations.
