Meeting of Governing Body of Association of Physicians of India being held at Ludhiana on Saturday.

Ludhiana, September 7, 2013: Meeting of Governing Body of Association of Physicians of India was held today in a local hotel.

Fifty eminent doctors from different parts of the country, who are office bearers of ICP and API, visited city for two days to see the arrangements made by local organisation committee of APICON-2014,to be held from February 20 -23, 2014 in Ludhiana

The Association of Physicians of India is a professional body of consultant physicians formed in 1944. It's members are physicians with postgraduate qualifications in different specialties. Currently, the membership of the association is 15,000 and it is increasing every year. This Association is the most elite physician's fraternity in India. This Association conducts various educational and professional activities for it's members throughout the year.

It is indeed a great honour for the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital to host the most important APICON Annual Conference, in Ludhiana, Punjab in February 2014, said Medical Supdt. Dr Sandeep Puri.

Chief Cardiologist-Dr GS Wander informed that the stimulating scientific sessions, during the conference, will consist of symposia and workshops including  Live- surgery demonstarions about the latest developments in the field of  medicine and will be delivered by renowned international, national and local speakers.

The enthusiasm of the API members in attending this meeting, which is being held in the vibrant and lively state of Punjab after a gap of 40 years is very encouraging. The registrations have been pouring in fast.

The physicians of Punjab are working hard to make it a memorable event for the delegates. The conference venue will be the ‘Palace Conference Complex’ with large halls, lush green lawns and wide roads for good approach.  

In addition, a spectacular range of social activities are being planned for all delegates and accompanying guests to experience Punjab’s most famous historical sites, culture and cuisine.
