Industrialists of Ludhiana gather for a meeting in focal point at Ludhiana on Thursday.

Ludhiana, January 16, 2014: A meeting of Industrial Associations held in focal point to condemn the allocation of new industrial packages given to Congress ruled states Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand.

All in one voice condemned the Commerce Minister Anand Sharma for this step motherly treatment just due to political motive.

Previously also a tax holiday package was given to these states from 2003 for ten years, which attracted an investment of more than Rs.13000 crores in Himachal Pradesh & Rs.30000 crores in Uttarakhand

Beside this the freight subsidy has also given to the Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand upto 15%.

The package includes capital subsidy upto 15% for the new & existing units (with conditions of extension in plant & machinery upto 25%).

The cap would be upto Rs.30 lacs and Rs.50Lacs for MSME units.

Such political discriminations are a big blow to the democratic federal system of India, the meeting observed. It also observed that the Industry is planning for a protest against this move.

The Industry have also conveyed their concerns to the Manish Tiwari the sitting Member Parliament from Ludhiana and Union Minister and fully explained him about the repercussions of this move on the upcoming Industry.

Punjab is also located away from the natural resources and ports so the freight subsidy was also the long back pending demand of Punjab, believe the meeting.

Badish Jindal (National President, FASII), Avtar Singh (President- CICU), Kulwinder Singh Benipal (President, Focal Point Phase VII), Suraj Sharma (President, Focal Point Industries Associations), Jagatbir Singh (Vice President, UCPMA), Swarnjit Singh Sethi, Ajit Singla & Amrik Singh Marshal were present at the meeting. //ludhiana news online, ludhiana news in English, ludhiana news, ludhiana current news, ludhiana news live, Ludhiana breaking news, Ludhiana headlines, Ludhiana latest news, punjab news, india news, punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news,
