Ludhiana, May 28, 2016: For the benefit of residents of Ludhiana district, the district administration has launched a website, www.irevenueldh.com, that would contain all information and details about the revenue courts. This website would also have an SMS-based service which would keep the parties involved in cases and their counsels updated about the current status of their respective cases so that they don't face any inconvenience.
This website was launched by Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat at a function held at Bachat Bhawan, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Bhagat said that the concept behind developing this website is to provide information to all the concerned parties about current status of revenue case they are involved in. The parties and their counsels will get an SMS alert in advance about the due date approaching for their case and what they are expected to do e.g. evidence, documents required etc. The parties will not have to wait for long queues to get their case status in the courts. He said that copies of all judgements of Ludhiana district revenue courts (starting from April 1, 2016 onwards) would also be uploaded on this website and any person can download them.
Mr Ravi Bhagat said that the mission of this portal is to save the time and effort in travelling from remote areas to the district revenue courts to know mere the status and probable action to be taken in the hearing. The portal will facilitate everyone who would like to obtain the status at a click rather than visiting the court personally. The portal will bring more transparency in the administrative setup and will help accomplish the mission.
He further stated, for long, it had been in the proposal of district administration to facilitate general public by harnessing the benefits of technology and help them get status of their cases at their desks. On the part of administration, if an SMS related to summoning is successfully delivered to the registered mobile number of beneficiary, it will serve as a record of summon received by the party and hence will end the hassle in visiting the official time and again to serve the summons.
This website, www.irevenueldh.com, has been a brainchild of Mr Jaspreet Singh, IAS, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training), who has worked very hard for developing this website. He informed that it is for the first time in the country that an SMS based alert system has been incorporated in such a website. He said that if any hearing is rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances, both the parties as well as their counsels would be sent an SMS well in advance so that precious time is saved. He said that the counsels would even be sent an email prior to the hearing of their case.
District Bar Association president Mr Vijay B Verma appreciated the efforts of District Administration and said that this website would prove very beneficial for the residents.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included ADC (General) Mr Rishi Pal Singh, ADC (Jagraon) Mr Davinder Singh, ADC (Development) Miss Apneet Riyait, SDM's Dr Richa, Mrs Harjot Kaur, Mr Showkat Ahmad Parray, Mr Paramjit Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) Miss Kanu Thind, besides several other
