125 PERSONS/COMPANIES DEFAULTERS OF AROUND RS 800 CRORE; BANKS HAVE BEEN ASKED TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION AS PER LAW AGAINST DEFAULTERS: ADC RISHIPAL SINGH 
Ludhiana, September 8, 2016:The District Administration has given a go ahead to the banks to take action against 125 defaulters. Acting on the directions of the state government, ADC (General) Dr Rishipal Singh has issued these orders which include a list of 125 defaulters, from whom the banks have to recover a total of Rs 778.98 crores. Dr Rishipal Singh informed that these orders have been issued under section 14 of SARFAESI Act and the District Administration has allowed the banks to confiscate the properties of the defaulters for the recovery of their pending dues.

            Zonal Manager Mr Virinderjit Singh Virk, Lead District Manager Mr Anoop Singh Chawla and Manager Lead Bank Mr Paramjit Singh informed that this is after a long gap that the banks have been given a go ahead to take action against their defaulters. They said that it has been possible only due to the personal efforts of ADC Dr Rishipal Singh. They also thanked all Zonal Managers of different Banks for coordination and cooperation to the District Administration.
