Ludhiana Citizen Welfare Society in collaboration with Omaxe Ltd to hold activities as part of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Ludhiana, October 25, 2019: The Ludhiana Citizen Welfare Society (Regd) in collaboration with Omaxe Limited will hold several activities from October 26 till November 3 as a part of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
These events will take place at Omaxe Royal Residency, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana.
Addressing a press conference here today, President of the Society Mr Vineet Handa the celebrations will start with a marathon “Run for Guru Nanak Dev Ji” on October 26 morning at 6 AM. The marathon will B7 Chowk Pakhowal Road and end up after covering 5 KM distance at Omaxe Royal Residency. Chief guest for the marathon will be Mr.Tejinder Singh Dhillon (IPS).
As a part of these celebrations a Sports Carnival will be organised at Omaxe Royal Residency from October 28 till October 30. Society’s Sports Secretary Pankaj Saxena said in this Carnival, children and youths between age groups of 8 to 20 years will be participating in different games like Basket Ball, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Cycle Race, Skating, Athletics and Indian Martial Arts. Winners and Runner up will be awarded by Police Commissioner Ludhiana and other distinguished personalities of Ludhiana Administration and Government of Punjab.
Besides, Society’s president Vineet Handa said that a Nagar Kirtan be taken out on October 31 at 3 PM which will start from Omaxe Entry Gate and will cover 3 KM inside township of Omaxe in the presence of Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu and Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu. Other Guests of Honour will be Ludhiana Mayor Balkar Singh, MLA Kuldip Singh Vaid, MLA Surinder Dawar, ex-MLA Malkit Singh Dakha, ex-MP Amrik Singh Aliwal and Chairman Omaxe Ltd Rohtas Goyal.
There will be Military Band and other bands along with elephants and horses to welcome Panj Piaras. Students of different schools with their respective bands will participate in the Nagar Kirtan. People from surrounding villages will also participate in the Nagar Kirtan. People will welcome the Nagar Kirtan by showering flowers, food stalls and langars at various points.
Winners of Sports Carnival will get Trophy from former Deputy Chief Minister and SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal.

November 1, 2019
Shri Akahand Path will start at 11 AM and Kirtan Darbar will be at 7 to 10 in the evening.
Winners of Sports Carnival shall get Trophy from our Chief Guest former Chief Minister S. Prakash Singh Badal. He will also distribute blankets to poor people.
Guests of honour will be: S. Hira Singh Gabaria (Ex Minister Punjab ), S. Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal (Ex Minister Punjab), S. Sharanjit Singh Dhillion (Ex Minister), S. Manpreet Singh Ayali (MLA-elect).
November 2, 2019:
Kirtan Darbar from 7 PM to 10 PM – Hazoori Ragi from Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar shall recite the Kirtan.
November 3, 2019
10:00 AM Bhog Sri Akand Path Sahib
10:30-1:30 Kirtan Darbar and Katha followed by Langar.
Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony will be Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana with other senior government officials
