LOK SABHA ELECTIONS 2019: FILING OF NOMINATIONS FROM APRIL 22-29

· SCRUTINY OF NOMINATIONS ON APRIL 30; LAST DATE OF WITHDRAWAL OF CANDIDATURE IS MAY 2 · CANDIDATES CAN ALSO PAY SECURITY FEE IN ADVANCE TO SAVE THEMSELVES FROM LAST MINUTE HASSLE: DISTRICT ELECTION OFFICER Ludhiana, April 18, 2019: District Election Officer Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today informed that the filing of nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections would start from April 22, 2019, and would continue till April 29, 2019. The scrutiny of the nominations would be done on April 30, 2019, and the last date of withdrawal of candidature would be May 2, 2019. The nominations for the upcoming elections would be filed in the office of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer situated in District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 11 am to 3 pm from April 22-29, 2019, excluding April 27 (Saturday) and April 28 (Sunday). Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal urged the candidates that to save themselves from last minute hassle, they can also pay their security fee in advance. He informed that the security fee can be paid in the office of Mr Rajan Dhall, Election Kanugo at Room Number 116, first floor, Tehsildar Elections Office, District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 9 to 5 on any working day. He stated that this security fee can also be paid by the candidates on the spot (at the time of filing nominations). Besides this, for getting the certified copy of voters list, the candidates should apply at Room Number 123, first floor, Tehsildar Elections Office, District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana from 9 to 5 on any working day. He urged all the candidates to complete the necessary formalities in advance.
