Ludhiana, August 4, 2019: Though there are multiple challenges, there also are many NGOs in Ludhiana to address these through ideas, finances and manpower, our responsibility as administration is to facilitate them for achieving the coveted objective of making Ludhiana the Greenest Smart City in the Nation, were the views expressed by ADC-Development Ludhiana & als0 CEO Smart City Connect Project Sanyam Aggarwal.

Aggarwal lauded LMA for initiating the plantation drive in association with BCM Arya School, he also hoped that the triad forged between LMA, BCM School and the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation to green the city would be a resounding success.

LMA President Kamal Wadhera outlining the Smart City Connect Plantation program, hoped that though a beginning has been made for planting of saplings with BCM School and some corporate entities and individuals like Hero Steels, TCY,Shingora, Roop Lal Mahajan, South City Club, Versatile Enggrs, Institution of Engineers, Col. MS Sodhi, Naveen Aggarwal would kick lead to more initiatives with other institutions and corporates pitching in to make Ludhiana cleaner and greener.

Jaskirat Singh, software entrepreneur shared how the plantation volunteers could geo tag their sapling and monitor its progress on the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation App CRAMAT. This small step would ensure that the saplings grow into robust trees greening the landscape and work as lungs to the city.

Captain V.K.Syal, Manager BCM Arya Schools shared the resolve of their institutions in inculcating a spirit of Environment Sensitivity in their students, and also pledged the support of all their institutions in the LMA Smart City Connect Drive.

Also present on the occasion were Viraj, Assistant Commissioner, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation and Rajinder Pal Syal, President BCM Arya Schools, Dr.Paramjit Kaur, Principal BCM Schools and Dr.Prem Kumar.
