LISTEN…LISTEN: Pb Govt restructures category of employees for TA/DA

Chandigarh, December 15, 2012: The Punjab Government has rechristened the categorization of the employees of the state for travel allowance (TA) and dearness allowance (DA) on the recommendation of the Fifth Punjab Pay Commission.

While disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Finance Department said that the employees having grade pay Rs.10,000 or above has been put under category ‘I’, employees having grade pay 7,600 to 9,999 under category ‘II’, employees having grade pay 5,400 to 7,599 under category ‘III’, employees having grade pay 3,800 to 5,399 under category ‘IV’ and the employees having grade pay below 3,800 has been put under category ‘V’. The spokesman further said that these instructions would be effective from the date of issuance of the letter in this regard.
