Let’s not forget - again five men shamed the Nation

Today it’s a shameful day for our country witnessing another gang rape incident in Mumbai. The brutal gang rape of a photojournalist underlines urgent need for prioritizing crimes against women, this cruel gang rape of 22 year old photojournalist women in a deserted mill during the evening rush hours in Mumbai, is not only a matter of shame; rather it is one of most shameful and inhuman act committed, which has again brought bad name for our Country and is another grim reminder of how unsafe are women in India. Where are we heading for?  With rise of such heinous cases of rape and outrage of modesty committed on women is a matter of regret and deep concern. Atleast on top priority the Mumbai police should arrest all the accused who has committed this heinous crime and he should be dealt with most stringent punishment so that in future nobody dares not to act in such a crime.

In event of evidence related to a rape case the investigating agency should ensure that the rape victim i.e. women should feel safe to give statement before the police authorities, keeping in mind that she does not lose her image in society. Let society and law not blame each other, it’s time for the law making authorities to implement – amend law – at least the punishment for rapists should be life imprisonment or death, no criminal should spared and we need to build a safe country for women.

Hence stringent punishment and instant decision of case by a fast track court enabling to solve this ongoing heinous act of disgrace to the modesty of women in our country so that in future nobody dares not to act in such a crime, keeping in mind scare of punishment as it can the an alarm for other unscrupulous elements within our country who indulge to commit such inhuman acts i.e rape etc.
