LAND DISPUTE: 1 dies in firing at Ferozepur village

Ferozepur, December 8, 2012:  The incident of firing in village Mohan Ke Hittar near Guruharsahai in Ferozepur district, on Saturday morning, created panic when one person died in firing in land dispute.

As per the sources, Raj Kumr son of Guraditta, aged 28 years, had gone along with his nearest relative Dr. Sham Lal resident of Mohan Ke Hittar at the disputed land and there was altercation with Tilak Raj son of Resham Lal resident of village Vasal Mohan Ke, of the opposite party and Resham Lal, who was allegedly carrying the rifle in his hand, fired which hit in the head of Raj Kumar son of Guraditta, who died on the spot.  He was, however, rushed to the civil hospital, Guruharsahai, where he was declared brought dead.

On getting the information, the police reached on the spot and after taking stock of the situation arrested the accused.  The police has started further proceedings in this regard.  It is pertinent to mention here that a dispute was going on among both the parties over a land of 4 acres and 5 kanals and earlier also number of times there had been quarrel on this account.
