Talwandi Sabo, January 10, 2014: Prof.Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Director (Planning & Development), Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo who was a member of the Indian delegation  led by Dr.Deepak Manmohan Singh, Director, World Pujabi Center, Punjabi University that participated in the World Punjabi Congress held at Lahore (Pakistan) from December 20 to 23 last year, stated on return that joint efforts of the World Peace Congress and  World Punjabi Center will certainly go a long way in strengthening World Peace Movement.

Prof.Gill moved a resolution in the World Punjabi Congress that the Govt. of India should provide liberty & security to the people of Pakistan intending  to visit same this should Bhagat Sikh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev at Hussainiwala. Similarly Govt. of Pakistan should extend similar facility to the visitors from India who wish to visit sacred places associates with Guru Nanak Dev at Kartarpur. These places in both the countries are our common heritage which will strengthen our common heritage and mutual  brotherhood. Through another resolution, Prof.Gill stressed upon the matter of buildings peace monuments in the world. It will facilitate change of mindset of the people towards world-Peace. Pakistani literatures and intellectuals demanded that a monument should also be build to memorise Dulla Bhatti’, hero of common Punjab.

Dr. Deepak Monmohan Singh moved a resolution to hold next conference at World Trade Centre, Punjabi University Patiala which was unanimously adopted. It will be held in the last week of March in Patiala for which concurrence from Dr.Jaspal Singh, Vice-Chancellor has since been obtained. The theme of this conference will be ‘World Peace through communication.’ Sharing his experience at Lahore Conference, Dr. Deepak stated that the delegates from various countries at Lahore had unanimous view that the world is at the brink of disaster. In order to save it, writers and intellectuals from different countries should take the lead. If there has been change in era, it is attributes to Gurus, Pirs, Fakirs and Litterateurs.

Lahore Declaration was issued at the peace conference emphasizing easy way to get Visa and the litterateurs should have the liberty to work as a bridge between the two countries. Senior Citizens above the   age of 65 should be exempted from identification as they should be issued Visa on the spot.

The delicates from different countries laid emphasis on World Peace as peace is directly linked with development. They also expressed regrets for not being able to visit any other place except Lahore. As Pakistan has preserved our common heritage, Govt. of India should also follow suit. People of Pakistan are equally anxious about World Peace.

The Chief Manager of the Peace Conference, famous Punjabi writer Fakhar Zaman stated that they have taken a pledge to give a momentum to World Peace, movement in all the countries and this endeavour will continue. His son, Farooq Zaman showed three documentaries related to Baba Bulle Shah, Baba Farid and Shah Hussain at this occasion. Famous Pakistan singers, Bhushra Kasori, Hamid Ali Bela, Shaukat Ali, Shaukat Imran, Sons of Iqbal Bahu and some others enthralled the audience with their superb melodious songs.

Apart from delegates from Ukraine, Germany, Holland, Philistine, Lithuania, England, Canada, India, hundreds of Urdu  & Punjabi writers  of Pakistan participated in this peace conference. Dr. Jinolin Babbar form Germany and Dr. Dallia Stepnocute from Lithuania declared that they will take part in the next World conference to be held in Patiala in March,2014. Dr. Hannan, Political Adviser to President Yaser Arafak from philistine also took part in this conference. Besides, Urdu Novelist Abdullah Hussian, Dr. Abdul Bela, Dr. Nazma Rehmani, Sayyad Ulha Chaudhri, Baba Nazmi and Afzal Sahir also participated in it.

On this occasion, Janab Fakhr released two books-“Khair Panja Paniyan Di” by Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill and “ Tariyan Zariya Amber by Saihjpreet Singh Mangat” both then books dwell upon Indo-Pak friendship & Peace. Eminent Punjabi writers Ujjagar Singh Kamal, Shri. Ram Arsh, Banita, S.
