Lady delivers twins after IVF at city hospital

Ludhiana, October 22, 2019: Mrs.Ranjana w/o Mr Vinod, was a distraught lady after she failed to conceive for the last 17 years despite taking infertility treatments from numerous hospitals in Punjab.

Since Vinod was a ragman by profession, he was thoroughly disillusioned as he could not afford the treatments at most hospitals. The couple had lost all hope to have children even after undergoing innumerable infertility treatments since last 17 years .They were wondering if they could ever become parents in their lifetimes. Life had come to a standstill and they had no will to live .It was only when they heard about Dr Rama Sofat Hospital & Ruchi test tube baby centre that a new hope of bearing a child emerged. Her husband underwent all required tests which were found to be normal. 

Dr Ruchika Sofat here examined Ranjana and found that she was unable to form good quality eggs in her ovaries & that she required Test tube baby treatment (IVF- ET) for helping her to conceive. Since the couple was very poor a concessional IVF package was given to the patient last year which unfortunately wasn’t successful. Since they were very poor a free IVF treatment was done for this couple. The fortune finally smiled at her & her fate took a new turn when she found out that she was pregnant with twins in the second attempt of IVF (Test Tube Baby ). God answered her prayers and fulfilled her only wish. Her long wait ended when she delivered a son & a daughter at Rama Sofat Hospital & Ruchi IVF centre in Ludhiana. The doctors said that both mother & baby are doing fine.

Dr Ruchika Sofat of Dr Rama Sofat Hospital, while explaining about the latest advancements in IVF shared that these technologies can bring hope for childless couples. The newer techniques like Blastocyst culturing, laser hatching , ICSI , egg donation , embryo donation have tremendously increased the success rate of these procedures. Women who are past their reproductive years or have reached menopause can still become pregnant & enjoy motherhood using these newer techniques.
