Kular nominated member of bicycle development council, GoI

Ludhiana, November 16, 2019: Government of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) for Light Engineering Industries, issued an executive order dated 15th November 2019 regarding setting up of the Bicycle Development Council under the aegis of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) with the approval of Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce and Industry.
Kular, President, FICO is the Nominated Member of the Bicycle Development Council for a period of two years.
Bicycle Development Council is established for vision planning in design, engineering and manufacturing of lighter, smarter, value added, safe and faster premium Bicycles; which are, comparable with global standards for exports and domestic market. In pursuance of the stated vision, the council will stimulate value chain and fuel accelerated demand growth of "Make-in-India" through the activities like improving competitiveness and level of services, transforming the Indian bicycle technology, ensuring development of holistic eco-system through stakeholder persuasion, enhancing export competitiveness of bicycle through support of schemes and favorable trade policies.
