KTR urges to break stereotype Women Day Celebrations
Hyderabad, March 9, 2017: K.T Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana unveiled FICCI Ladies Organisation(FLO) Women Green Industrial Park in a function held at TSIIC office at Parishrama Bhavan in the city on Wednseday. The function held on the occasion of World Women's Day, wherein, KT Rama Rao handed over Sanction Proceedings of Allotment of Land for FLO Women Green Industrial Park to its Chairperson Padma Rajgopal.

TSIIC allocated FLO the 50 acres of land at Sultanpur, Patancheru in the city outskirts. FLO will develop this as a Women's Industrial Park. It is FLO's first women entrepreneur park in the country. The land allocated at a rate of Rs 45 lakh per acre.

The park will have infrastructure facilities like Roads, Power, Water, and Drainage, dedicated Industrial Substation, Common Facilities, Storm Water, Rain Water harvesting facilities and Green belts, etc. The infrastructure will be developed by TSIIC. The FLO members will establish units in the said park. Those members, who have minimum 51 per cent share in partnerships/Pvt. Ltd companies will be allocated the land.

Speaking on the occasion, KT Rao told women to present there to break the stereotype of celebrating women. The stereotype celebrations reinforce and reiterate the male point of view. Women should be treated as an individual not just as mother, wife, sister or anything. She is much better than the better half. One message that I saw today morning where it said India is the only country where women are worshiped. I don't know how much of this is real as we keep reading different stories in the newspapers. More than worshipping, women seek to respect and level playing field.

Quoting Margaret Thatcher former Prime Minister of UK (who said "If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman"), K.T.Rama Rao told women entrepreneurs gathered that they are much better in execution and much better in getting things done.

Addressing the gathering, FLO Chairperson Padma Rajgopal thanked the VC and MD of TSIIC Narsimha Reddy and KT Rama Rao for allotting 50 acres of land at Sultanpur, Patancheru to FICCI FLO Hyderabad

It is a real gift of empowerment to us women today, and we are glad that you have chosen this International Women's Day to announce it.

Padma Rajgopal requested TSIIC and Govt of Telangana to undertake all Liaoning and grant processes with various agencies/Depts/ministry for the development of the land for quick implementation of the project, including the grant processes with Ministry of MSME, Govt of India for the Infrastructure and Common Facility Grants. She also sought all current benefits to SC, ST & Women subsidies applicable and extended to them too to encourage women entrepreneurship and maximum participation.

Among other benefits, FLO sought include Investment subsidy of 25 per cent on fixed capital with a maximum cap of Rs 30lakh to all units; 50 per cent subsidy on expenses incurred for ISO and other Quality Certifications. KT Rama Rao has readily given his consent for all these requests.

FLO also requested for special allocation of 5 acres of land on lease to develop, build and operate a Centre of Excellence for Skill Development for women from Weaker and Under-Privileged sections of the society. KT Rama Rao gave his nod readily for the same. This Centre of Excellence for Skill Development will impart 1200 to 14000 women in various skills complementing the needs and requirements of the industries with in the Park.

She also made an earnest appeal to ensure disbursements for approved incentives within ninety days thereby establishing the first women entrepreneur park in the country by the government of Telangana.
