I thank the members of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) who have taken stand against the high- handedness and anti-panthic activities of Badals and have resigned. They have done great service and sacrifice. The other members should learn from them.
The demand that this inquiry should be headed by a sitting judge of the High Court is a genuine demand. In view of the seriousness of the issue and the total high-handedness of the police, it would be better that this inquiry should be headed by a sitting judge of the High Court.
We, group of lawyers have offered our free legal services to the victims and those injured in this violence regarding any case in the High Court, Supreme Court of India or NHRC. We are also trying to coordinate with a team of local lawyers in different Courts to help them and advice them.
