Kokuyo Camlin partners with Akhil Bhartiya Kala Sadhak Sangh on creating paintings based on Mahabharata

Mumbai, November 1, 2017: More than 100 artists from across 22 states participated in a workshop to create paintings depicting scenes from the Mahabharata and the Geeta. This workshop was organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Kala Sadhak Sangh, which is an association of artists and was partnered by leading marketer of art material and stationery Kokuyo Camlin, along with the Government of Haryana.
The primary objective of bringing all these artists together was to create art works for the proposed museum in Kurukshetra on the theme of the epics. The four-day event from 27th October to 30th October 2017, was inaugurated by the Union Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh. The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Manoharlal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana, who was the chief guest.

This initiative by the Akhil Bhartiya Kala Sadhak Sangh brought artists from all over the country to celebrate the epics and showcase their works. We feel such initiatives are excellent platforms to preserve our rich cultural heritage and inspire our future generations.”
The workshop saw artists from all over the country depicting their creativity on various scenes from the Mahabharta and their interpretation on the Geeta. The show stealer were four prominent artists who under the leadership of veteran artist Mr. Vasudev Kamath, created a gigantic 5’ x 15’ paintings of Lord Krishna in front of the live audience. It was simply breathtaking seeing these four artists work in such harmony while creating this painting of Lord Krishna.
