KMV Takes Lead in International Programs; Committed to Fostering Global Competencies
Jalandhar, June 22, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar excels in International Programs too. Throwing valuable light on international programs, Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that it is the first college in the region to have a Student Exchange Program which enables KMV undergraduate students to shift their grades to Lesley University, USA after first year of studies at KMV. We foster global competencies in our students through various collaborations, academic tie-ups and student exchange with many prestigious US, European and Canadian Universities and colleges. We also have international partnerships with Chatham University, USA, along with Lesley University, USA and over the years the students have availed from many beneficial programs. Under student exchange programs the students visit Chatham University and Lesley University each year and also attend certificate courses there. The faculty from Boston University regularly interacts with our students. The visits of Prof. John Battaglino, Dean, Student Welfare, Boston University have been to the ample credit of KMV. We have modelled KMV Department of Student Welfare on the lines of the Department of Student Welfare, Boston University. Our students had also been selected to attend Summer Internship Programs at Boston University. Regarding the collaboration with Eotvos Lorand University, Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that it was during the last summer when she was invited by Eotvos Lorand University, Hungary where she signed an MOU which is a monumental international education partnership between two globally acclaimed institutions. Under this partnership, KMVites will attend a semester at Eotvos Lorand University during the Masters Program. Recently Dr Robert Urban from the Institute of Psychology Eotvos Lorand University, Hungary was invited to KMV as a resource person under this exchange program. Yet another remarkable collaborative achievement is KMV's MOU with College of the Rockies, Cranbrook Campus, Canada. It is by dint of these international programs that KMVites have frequently visited universities like Harvard University and even got admission in various acclaimed US Universities.
