A Monumental International Education Partnership between two globally acclaimed institutions-KMVites to attend a Semester at Eotvos Lorand University during their Masters Program
Jalandhar, October 22, 2018: KMV-the Autonomous & Heritage Institution, Jalandhar and Faculty of Education & Psychology, Eotvos Lorand University, Hungary have entered into an agreement of cooperation for creating a sustainable international education partnership. During Prof. Atima Sharma’s recent visit to the Eotvos Lorand University where she was invited to deliver talks, an MOU was signed between KMV and Eotvos Lorand University. It was signed by Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV and Prof.(Dr.) Zsolt Demetrovics, Dean, Eotvos Lorand University during a faculty meet specially organized by the university for the occasion. Throwing more light on this agreement, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that this will include exchange of students, faculty, joint research activities and publications and exchange of academic materials et al. As exchange programs provide global exposure, the students of both institutions will stand to gain a lot from these programs. KMV will encourage students to pursue their Masters Program in the faculty of Education and Psychology in collaboration with Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest Hungary. The students of KMV will be able to attend a semester at Eotvos Lorand University during their Master’s programme. It is worth a mention here that KMV has international partnerships & exchange programs with many top league US Universities like Boston, Chatham, Lesley and Harvard. Our students have often attended various programs like Summer Schools etc. in these universities too and have moved on for higher degrees to these universities under KMV collaborations and have been offered scholarships too. Likewise the faculty exchange programs will result in the professional visits of the faculty to their sister campus for familiarization with their counterparts and for possible development of mutually beneficial programs. The two institutions may look into the possibility of undertaking joint academic programs deploying their faculty members, drawing upon their respective strengths. This exchange will include the exchange of research findings of the faculty of both these institutions. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi further averred that the signing of this agreement indicates a commitment of both institutions to work to establish other opportunities for collaboration and exchange of resources. Prof.(Dr.) Zsolt Demetrovics, Dean, Eotvos Lorand University expressed his keen enthusiasm and interest regarding this partnership with KMV. Both Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and Dean Zsolt Demetrovics assured that the faculty and students of both the institutions will work towards excellence in all academic areas. Prof. Dwivedi further shared that the first group of teachers and students from Budapest will visit KMV in the first half of 2019 for a joint project to be held with KMV students. Such MOUs play a pivotal role in providing the students quality education which meets global standards.
