Jalandhar, August 19, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organised a photography exhibition in order to celebrate the World Photography Day.

The exhibition was organised by the Post Graduate Department of Journalism and Mass communication at Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar. The exhibition under the name Summer Muse: Magic of Camera was inaugurated by Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal. Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Neerja Chander Mohan, Suresh Seth, Dr Satpal Gupta and Dr Deepali Luther along with other prominent personalities of the city also graced the occasion.

In the exhibition the students of Journalism and Mass Communication presented their photographs depicting various techniques of photography such as multi exposure, light painting, micro photography, Monochrome etc. A Short Film prepared by the students of Journalism & Mass Communication on the theme of 16 after 15 was also released on the occasion.

Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such type of initiatives play a vital role in the overall development of the students and also motivated the students to learn the art & skill of photography and to excel in the field of journalism. She further maintained that Photography exhibition is the regular annual feature of Post Graduate Department of Journalism & Mass Communication and wins appreciations from all quaters of society. She also lauded the efforts of the faculty members and the students of the PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication for this fruitful initiative. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Manpreet Kaur, Sehajpal Singh, Sandeep Singh, Priya Chander, Rajat Kaur, Vinti and Karan.
