KMV Organizes a One Day Workshop on Industrial Manufacturing of Cosmetics

Jalandhar, February 18, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya , Jalandhar's PG Department of Chemistry organized a one day workshop on "Industrial Manufacturing of Cosmetics" under DBT Star College Scheme. The workshop provided students an insight to the industrial manufacturing of cosmetic goods. The workshop was conducted by Mr Gurinder Singh along with his team. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 'Kamil Cosmetics', Amritsar. The company is 20 years old manufacturers of various cosmetics and toiletries including skin life cream, shampoo, moisturizer, skin toner, hair conditioner and hair colour etc. Mr Singh started with a presentation in which he briefed about various industrial technologies and ingredients along with the purpose of adding each ingredient used in the manufacturing of cosmetics. He stressed on the importance of standardization of each ingredient in batch processing and how it can affect the quality of finished product. He also provided hands-on training to the students. Conclusively, a good learning experience of the students which nurtured them with the sound knowledge of industrial processing of cosmetics. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts taken by the PG Department of Chemistry for conducting such a meaningful workshop and averred that such endeavours are the regular feature in our college as through these activities students are provided a proper industrial exposure.
