Jalandhar, February 27, 2015: In keeping with its tradition of a tireless pursuit of excellence, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, a pioneer institution of Northern India in the field of women education and empowerment, organised Faculty Development Programme to upgrade the faculty members skills and knowledge base.

The esteemed resource person for the occasion was a distinguished scholar and dignitary, Dr. Shirish Chindhade, ex-Principal, MU College, Pune.  Dr. Chindhade.  He was accorded a warm floral welcome by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma.  With his motto being ‘work is workshop’ Dr. Shirish shared his knowledge and experiences with the faculty members in a very interactive manner.   He presented his views through Power point Presentation titled “Innovate or Dissipate” wherein he discussed the dominance of technology in our life which leads to changes at a fast pace.  He elaborated at length on the amazing rapidity of changes sweeping are social, political and economic life. Information overload is hampering the quality of life.  He said that student nowadays represent a stakeholder (customer) who demands education from an institution.  There is a state of clash between present and future due to super industrial world.   Educational Institutions nowadays are on the verge of paradigm of teaching-learning process.

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma thanked the Hon’ble Guest an emphasised that such programmes are the need of hour  in the current scenario of teaching learning process. The programme was well attended by the faculty and was a great success.
