KMV organises Extension Lecture

Jalandhar, November 5, 2014: P.G Department of Physics of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised an extension lecture on the topic “A Pedagogical introduction to conventional superconductivity”. 

The resource person was Dr Navinder Singh from Physical Research laboratory, Ahmedabad, his lecture was attended by students of M.Sc.Physics and B.Sc-III year.  He started his presentation by giving a brief description on comparison between conventional & unconventional superconductors in a very interesting way.  After this background, he introduced recent about the qualitative successes of that theory and pointed out some open issues related to that theory.  Moreover, he also suggested to the students & faculty various research programs and various research institutes in India.  He motivated the students by outlining the method there was a succeeding research work.  After the lecture there was a healthy interaction with the resource person. 

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma congratulated the faculty.  She also motivated the students to upgrade their knowledge about latest research fields and to get maximum benefit from resource person by active interaction.
