KMV launches national campaign to create awareness about fundamental duties on constitution day
Jalandhar, November 26, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya today launched a National Campaign for creating awareness about Fundamental Duties on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the adoption of Constitution of India. This national campaign will continue for one year and will aim at creating awareness as well as also ensuring that these fundamental duties are followed by entire KMV fraternity. Under this program, the Department of Political Science in collaboration with Department of Student Welfare of KMV had planned numerous events such as poster making, essay writing, quiz and rally for the upcoming session to ensure that every citizen should follow these Fundamental Duties. The program commemorated with pledge taking ceremony by teaching staff, non teaching staff and students to abide by Fundamental Duties. It is pertinent to mention that 25 students and 3 teachers from Government Senior Secondary School, Karari, the village adopted by KMV under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan also participated in these various competitions organized by KMV to celebrate the Constitution Day. The winners of various competitions were given prizes by Principal who appreciated all the students for participating in these awareness programs. She averred that the youth needs to be fully apprised with their fundamental duties too and not only their fundamental rights and such occasions play a pivotal role in increasing the awareness regarding the Indian Constitution. She congratulated program incharges Dr Madhumeet, Dr Gurjot and Mrs Ashima Sahni for undertaking this initiative.
