KMV Hosts Annual NCC Training Camp of 2PB(G) BN NCC Jal

Jalandhar, June 25, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar is hosting 2PB (G) BN NCC Jal training camp from June 25 to July 4. NCC SW/JW girl cadets from all over Jalandhar from 19 different Institutions have reported for the same. Around 400 girl cadets are attending the training camp. They will receive training in Drill, Map Reading, Firing, Weapon Training, Personality Development, Civil Defense, Leadership etc. Cadets will also be involved with social service activities .
They will also be involved in various competitions in diverse fields like drill, firing, painting, singing, group dance etc. They will also be exposed to experts from diverse field in order to mature their viewpoint regarding life. Colonel Jasbir Singh, Commanding Officer, 2PB GBN NCC, Jalandhar is the Camp commandant. Captain Viji WTLO who is an AO of 2PB (G)BN NCC, Jalandhar will be also attending the camp
Around 20 JCO & NCO will remain involved in the same. Colonel Jasbir Singh expressed satisfaction regarding the state of art infrastructure provided by the college management with open heart and warm welcome. An ANO conference was also held on the inaugural day of the camp. The institution training of the unit was planned in detail during the conference. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi observed that girls should be groomed for becoming good citizens and inspiring to join army in future so that they can serve their nation in good spirit and lead a socially proactive and positively productive life. She lauded the positive roll of NCC in grooming the youth of the country.
