KMV flags off Pan India cycle rally on swachta abhiyaan

Jalandhar, September 21, 2019: Pan India Cycle Rally on Swachta Abhiyaan is starting from all the directions of India, i.e N/W/E/S.
In a moment of great pride, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV), Jalandhar received the Northern sections of the rally which began from Leh (J & K) & reached KMV College yesterday. They handed over the baton to the Jalandhar cadets in the presence of Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, ADG/IAS Kulwant Singh & Brigadier Advitya Madaan.
It was today flagged off by Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi at 7 a.m. After covering 62 kilometres these cadets will reach Ludhiana and will hand over the baton to the cadets there. The mission is a part of the Swachta Pakhwada being celebrated by the Government of India to sensitize the citizens regarding the value of cleanliness & better living conditions in India.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that NCC is doing a great job and being the largest youth organization it was an ideal platform to build the new India of the 21st century. She further maintained that being a patriotic institution, KMV would unconditionally support NCC in any noble and good cause. ADG/IAS Kulwant Singh averred that the importance of Swachta could be calculated by the fact that even a healthy family spent around 2000 rupees per month on minor health problems which could be prevented by keeping the environment clean. This could also save a huge financial resource for the development of the community. Jalandhar Group Commander Brigadier Advitya Madaan congratulated the cadets on having successfully covered the distance of around 60 kilometres from Dasuya to Jalandhar on the cycles provided to them and also thanked Principal KMV for supporting a great national mission for Swach Bharat.
