KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School Organizes a Workshop at Innovation Hub

Making Ideas a Reality at Innovation Hub at KMV
Jalandhar, May 11, 2019: KMV Collegiate Sr.Sec.School organized a workshop at Innovation Hub. The students of 11th and 12th class participated in this workshop. The motive of this workshop was to create appropriate, meaningful and participative learning situations, inculcating the life skills in students. The experimental workshop enabled the students mind to transcend books and to step into the real world by relating all that they learn or observe in their daily life. This workshop made the students aware about the basic concepts of Physics like Mechanics, Optics, electric waves and vibration experiments that triggers the thinking cells of the young minds. Students also tried their hands on various equipments like looping a loop, Kund's tube, series of pendulum, racing track, coupled oscillator, tricky mirrors to understand concepts of science like energy conservation, moment of inertia, doppler's effect in a practical way. It is important to mention that the Innovation Hub is an independent place of learning with critical thinking and imagination where even the students from outside the KMV can also visit and learn various aspects of science.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such type of activities go a long way in creating interest about the subject in young and vibrant minds so that the students can be motivated to become more innovative & creative in their approach towards the study.
