KMV Baseball Team Won GNDU Championship

Jalandhar, February 20, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, one of the most prestigious college of the nation not only provides a suitable environment for academics, but it also holds an upper niche over the other colleges in the field of sports also. Keeping with the tradition, KMV college Baseball team in a sweeping performance have bagged the Guru Nanak Dev University Championship. KMV team defeated HMV Jalandhar by 6-0, Khalsa College Amritsar by 8-0 and BBK DAV College Amritsar by 3-0. Displaying the extraordinary performance, Ramandeep Kaur, a player of the team attempted 24 times strike out during the match.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the team members namely Yuvika (Captain), Sakshi, Hina, Sheenu, Sushmita, Surbhi, Dimple, Manisha, Monika, Kajal, Lashmi, Rajni, Ramandeep, Parkash and Shweta on their achievement. She also lauded the efforts done by the Physical Education Department for the overall development of the students and for motivating the students to participate in these competitions as much as possible. She averred that KMV provides the most suitable ambience for the students who want to excel themselves in the field of sports. It is worth mentioning here that Rajni made 4 scores, Yuvika 1, Raman 3, Sakshi1, Parkash 2, Sushmita 2, Mira 2, Kajal1 and Dimple1for the team.
