K.K.Grover Declamation Contest and A.C Bali Declamation Contest organized by School of Punjabi Studies, PU

Chandigarh, February 16, 2018: Today, K.K.Grover Declamation Contest and A.C Bali Declamation Contest were organized by School of Punjabi Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh in Gandhi Bhawan. Students of Panjab University, Chandigarh and its affiliated college took part in this contest. Contemporary issues were included in the declamation contest. Renowned Punjabi and Urdu Ghazalgo Sh.Siri Ram Arsh was Chief Guest in the K.K.Grover Declamation Contest and the renowned Punjabi Poet Smt.Manjit Indra was Chief Guest in the A.C. Bali Declamation Contest
In K.K. Grover Declamation Contest, Jashanpreet Kaur of Department of Punjabi, Panjab University, Chandigarh was at first place, Hasrat Boparai of MCM DAV College, Chandigarh was second and Gurpreet Singh of Department of Evening Studies, PU was third. In A.C. Bali Declamation Contest, Waheguru Pal Singh of Guru Nanak National College, Doraha was at first place, Navyugpreet Kaur of MCM DAV College, Chandigarh was second and Master Tara Singh Memorial College, Ludhiana was third. Prof. Yog Raj, Chairman, School of Punjabi Studies, PU expressed his gratitude towards the guests. During the contest, Dr. Sarabjit Singh presided over the K.K. Grover Declamation Contest and Dr. Uma Sethi presided over A.C. Bali Declamation Contest. Among the other faculty, Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Akwinder Kaur Tanvi, Dr. Pawan Kumar and Sh. Ashwani Kumar were also present on this occasion.
