Chandigarh, June 5, 2016: As part of its fun-filled “Elante Kids Carnival” this summer, Elante mall today engaged its young visitors for very pressing social cause- environment conservation. With today being the ‘World Environment Day’, the mall organised multiple ‘Environment Day’ themed drawing & painting activities in which more than 60 kids participated.
The activities organised included fabric painting, banner painting, globe painting and artificial tree decor. In the fabric painting, kids from different age groups were given cloth carry bags on which they were asked to draw and paint colourful flowers, trees amongst others along with a globe in the centre of the bag to depict ‘mother earth’ as per their imagination using block printing and fabric paints. The banner painting was a group activity where the kids coloured a 6X3 feet paper banner carrying the message ‘World Environment Day: Green World, Dream World.
In another very interesting activity, the depicting Environment day ‘Green Tree” of a 4ft height was set up which was decorated by children along with their messages on environment and future green world. The cut outs also included fruit-cut outs which were stuck on the tree which made it a very pretty and mesmerizing sight to look at. In the Globe painting activity, a 2.5 ft high globe was put up by the mall for the kids to paint.
“Today, environment conservation is a topic which is at the forefront of global conscious with leaders of the world deliberating on how to save and protect Mother Nature. So, it makes all the more sense to engage these children, who will be leaders oftomorrow, and make them aware of the importance of environment conservation. We feel that today’s activities will go a long way in sensitizing these kids towards environment protection”, said Mr Manoj Agarwal, Head of Operations, Elante Mall.
