KHANNA POLICE STARTS “DRUG INFORMATION & REHABILITATION HELPLINE”

SECRET INFORMATION CAN BE PROVIDED 24X7 AT PHONE NUMBER 95929-13600: SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE Khanna (Ludhiana), August 6, 2018: Taking the drive against drugs forward, the Police District Khanna has started a “Drug Information and Rehabilitation” helpline. Khanna SSP Mr Dhruv Dahiya informed that this helpline number 95929-13600 would remain operational 24X7 and any person having any information about drugs can contact the police. Mr Dahiya informed that ever since he joined his duty at Khanna, he has been actively spearheading a drive against drugs. He said that for empowering police-public interaction, a Facebook page as well as a Twitter handle with name “Khanna Police” have been started where a large number of people give their suggestions, besides the daily activities of Khanna Police is also uploaded there. The SSP further informed that the helpline number 95929-13600 have been set up at the Police Control Room, Khanna and two officials would remain on duty there 24X7. He said that any person having any information about drugs, such as information about smugglers, if any person is harassed by a drug addict, if any person needs help for sending any drug addict to a rehabilitation centre, if any drug addict wants to take help of police for treatment, or wants any other kind of help related to drugs, can contact at the helpline number. Mr Dhruv Dahiya informed that the name of person giving information would be kept secret. He said that if any social organisation or an NGO wants to contribute in the war against drugs, can also contact at the “Drug Information and Rehabilitation” helpline number 95929-13600.
