Khanna District Police ahead in drive against drugs in Punjab: IG Jalandhar Zone Arpit Shukla

Khanna, October 11, 2017: Khanna District Police has topped in drive against drugs in the state with large recovery of drugs and registering of cases against drugs sellers. This was stated by IG Jalandhar Zone Arpit Shukla during a press conference at SSP office Khanna.
He had come here to gave promotions to the deserved police personal of Khanna Police District who performed good role during duty to catch drugs and other activities.
IG shukla said that law and order is very under control and police will not allow bad elements to shatter the law and order. IG in the presence of SSP Khanna NS Mahal lauded the role of police to combat bad elements in its fight against drugs, gangsters and during Baba Ram Rahim issue. IG stated that more police officials and police personnel of Khanna District Police have been given promotions for their work done and along with SSP pinned rank stars on the shoulders of police men.
IG called upon police force to work with full force to keep criminals in check and stated that no one will be allowed to take law into own hands and bad elements will be dealt sternly.
IG dispatched 5 motorcycles donated by donors of Khanna area with the efforts of SSP to different locations of beats to keep watch during day and night hours. ASI Salamdin, HC Hardev Singh, HC Kashmira Singh, Constable Lakhvir Singh, HC Surjit Singh and Constable Surinderpal Kaur were given next ranks by IG and SSP for meritorious duty.

SP(I) RPS Sandhu, SHO Doraha Manjit Singh and some other officials were given certificates for their good work.
IG also disclosed that SSP Khanna NS Mahal was also given certificate by DGP Punjab for his good work and leadership in drive against drugs and to keep control on situation during last some months.
He also distributed kitchen utensils for canteens in the police District for the use of police personals.
IG appealed the other police personals to perform better to get certificates and promotions in the future.
