Ludhiana, November 4, 2016: Nehru Sidhant Kender organised 21th Annual Inter College Debate Competition at Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana as a part of Pandit Jawahar lal Nehru’s birthday celebrations.
12 colleges with a team of two speakers each participated in the debate. The topic chosen for the debate was ‘How has science and technology changed our perspective of life’. The trust nominated eminent educationist Dr.R.C.Sharma Retd.Head, Department of Sanskrit Arya College, Prem Bhushan Goyal retired as Deputy Director, Language Department, Punjab and Geetanjali Singh Sial presently working as English mentor at Satpaul Mittal School in the panel of Judges. The speakers presented their views on the topic and displayed their oratorial skills. The participants were encouraged by the audience with their vociferous applauding Dr. Mukti Gill shared her views with the students and congratulated the winners. The following were declared the winner:
Winner of Nehru Trophy: Khalsa College for Women
First prize: Arpit Kochhar (Khalsa College for Women)
Second prize: Shivam (Kamla Lohtia College)
Third prize: Gurleen Singh (SCD Govt College)
Consolation prize: Gayatri (Arya College)
