Dharamshala, March 26, 2019: While addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha at Baijnath in Kangra district today, Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur said, “Today, country needs a strong leadership which only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can give. During the last five years in his leadership, the country has emerged as a world power and it is the demand of the time that the momentum of development be continued by repeating the government in the centre.”
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Central Government has sanctioned more than 11000 crores of Central Development projects for Himachal Pradesh in almost a year. He said that PM Modi considers Himachal Pradesh as his second home and it is a matter of pride for the state that he is familiar with the nook &corners of the state. He said that Shri Modi has done the work of speeding up the development of Himachal and it is necessary in the interest of the state that he should be given an opportunity to take over the reins of the country and for this, the BJP will have to win all the four parliamentary seats of Himachal.
Thakur said that Mr.Kishan Kapoor, a veteran and experienced leader from Kangra Parliamentary Area has been declared as the candidate of BJP for Kangra seat. He said that Kishan Kapoor has done commendable work for the development of the area. “In view of this, the local public will definitely make him win the seat with heavy margin. I am sure that local BJP workers will do commendable work under the guidance of former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar,” said CM. He said that Shanta Kumar's experience will play an important role in this election.
On this occasion, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, former Chief Minister/ former MP Shanta Kumar, Kishan Kapoor, candidate of Kangra parliamentary constituency, MLA Mulkharaj Premi, Arun Mehra, Ravi Dheeman, BJP office bearers, workers and others were present on the occasion.
