Dharamsala, March 20, 2013: The new pay scale due since 2006 for the employees of the co-operative banks in Himachal Pradesh has once again denied after a clearance by the authority, the Registrar Co-operative society of Himachal.

The pay scale is said to given in consonance with the revised pay scale of that of their counterparts in Punjab (PSCB).

Punjab has already given it to its employees in 2008 to be paid from 2006.

The case was approved by Registrar Co-operative Societies (RCS) Himachal, wide its letter (No 5-40/2012-coop(C&M)) dated February 27 this year, but refused it vide letter (No 5/-40/2012-coop(C&M)) dated March 16 due to difference in the proposed grade pay, and again ordered an enquiry by Additional Registrar.

The Employees’ Union of Kangra Central co-operative Union said that they shall not wait any longer now in this regards. The president of Union Sharat Ralhan said, “We have prepared the scale exactly at par to Punjab, and these were approved by Board of Directors of the Bank on January 31, 2013. The RCS too approved it before rejecting.”

He said that it seems that as the chairman of the bank was not chosen of governments choice, it played some fishy in it. He said, “Additional RCS is also satisfied with the proposed scales.” Said the employees shall go to court if the matter is not sorted out in a couple of days.

Kangra Co-op Bank and state coop bank have around 300 emlployees, while Jogindra Bank has 300 employees in the state.
