Jalandhar, August 7, 2013: BJP national executive member Manoranjan Kalia, MLA, has strongly condemned the killing of five Indian Soldiers in Pak ambush in Poonch district.

In a statement here today, he has appealed to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh not to go ahead for peace talks with Pakistan in the future. He termed the incident as “cowardly act” by Pakistan. He said the Indian Government should categorically ask Pakistan to refrain from such activities in the future.

Kalia has also urged for further intensifying security along the International Border. He has also asserted that forces on the Border be given ample powers to deal with infiltrators and intruders at their own.

Kalia has also reacted sharply over the declining of rupee. He has sought immediate intervention of the prime minister and the Union Finance Minister to take all possible steps to strengthen the rupee.

Meanwhile, another state BJP leader Rajat Kumar Mohindru (former in-charge BJP Punjab Media Cell) has also condemned the killings of Indian Soldiers. He said this is not an isolated incident, as earlier too many incidents have occurred. He demanded a befitting reply to the enemy in this regard. He sought that the Indian Government should tackle the situation with firm hands and find out a permanent solution to the problem. At the same time, the Opposition should get united on the issue and support the GoI.
