40 varieties of ‘Miniature Gardens' produced purely out of her passion for greenery by Rajyalakshmi, a 58 years old retired science teacher drew lot of crowd at India Garden Fair
Hyderabad, December 22, 2106: The twin exhibitions, the 8th edition of Kids Fair and 3rd edition of India Garden Fair kicked off here in the city at Hitex today. Filmstar Jeevitha Rajshkhar inaugurated the same, went around the two exhibitions and made some shopping.

Organized by Hitex, the expo will continue till 25th December.

Interacting with the media, immediately after inaugurating these twin exhibitions, Jeevitha, mother of two daughters told parents to "allow kids to enjoy their childhood." Education is not everything. No parents are worried about their kid's likes, dislikes. All they want is marks, grades, and ranks. Childhood has become very stressful. They should be given a free hand to enjoy childhood she said.

From birth to age eighteen.... a child is under the home influence 86% of the time. educatorsSo parents are the first teachers and teachers come next, said Jeevitha.

There were many stalls offering various services and products such as building blocks, books, an encyclopaedia to nurture child's multiple intelligence.

Teachers cannot do a good job of teaching unless children are ready for reading, able to listen, concentrate and follow directions, said one retired teacher who was a visitor to the exhibition.

A wide variety of little gardens exhibited by RuddBuddy stole the show and attracted a lot of visitors at Indian Garden Fair. There Miniature Gardens were the creative outcomes of Mrs. Rajyalakshmi, a 58years old retired science teacher. Plants were my passion. The love for plants drew me to an idea of a Workshop of 2 hours duration on Miniature Garden making, she informed. There is no place in cities for gardens. So I came out with Miniature Gardens. In my workshops which I have conducted well over eight so far, each of the children produces one miniature dream garden of his own and takes home. Buy, doing this I have made them concerned about Greenery. If you don't go green, you will go red, Rajyalakshmi. She has displayed 40 small gardens which were drawing huge crowds. Each and every garden is very creatively developed.

Also Live Gardens and Vertical Gardens that cost in the range of Rs 1.5 lakh were also an attraction to the many visitors.

Waste bins made out of coconut fiber and wall hangings made with similar stuff too were well appreciated by the visitors to the expo.

100 exhibitors exhibited stalls in kids fair and 40 in India Garden Fair.

Some of these exhibitors include Orchids Intl, Share Khan, Parel Agro, Inani Media, e-explore, Kidengage, Telangana Tourism, Game Point, New Creative School, Lava Cake, Skoodle Art and Craft, Magic Bricks, the open book, shamrock, Sugar Malls and other.
