Jatinder Mittal takes over charge of BJP District President
Ludhiana, October 8, 2018: Ludhiana’s newly appointed District President Jatinder Mittal took charge officially today in the presence of Punjab BJP President Shwait Malik. Malik holds mega road show in city today. The entire route was inundated with the party posters and symbols. The road show was kicked off from Samrala road. It passed through Shagun Palace road, Baba Than Singh Chowk, Division No.3, Chowri Sadak and then arrived at Chowra Bazaar. People showered flowers on the caravan. Over 1,500 BJP workers and socialites attended the road show. City’s trade associations and local religious associations also gave full support during road show. Jatinder Mittal was appointed the new district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) last week but he took over as district president today when the state president Shwait Malik comes to the city to give him the charge formally. Shwait Malik ,while talking to media said that Congress was losing its ground. While commenting on derogatory remarks by Ludhiana Youth Congress ,he said that these kind of comments were showing low mentality and frustration of Congressmen. Congressmen have no right to comment on PM as Narendra Modi was holding constitutional post, he said. Talking about the increasing crime rate in Punjab, Malik said, “In Punjab, crime is increasing day by day and today’s firing on cop in Ludhiana proves it”. He pointed out that it seemed as if the state government was non-existence. He added the state government had “murdered” democracy in Punjab.
